What this policy covers

This policy describes the current FlowWise mobile app for iOS and Android and this website. FlowWise is a personal financial planning tool. It does not require a FlowWise account, connect to your bank, or provide a backend that stores your personal financial records.

This version describes the local product being prepared for release. If the product’s data handling changes, this policy will be updated to describe those changes.

The information on your device

Information you enter is stored locally to make the app work. Depending on how you use FlowWise, this includes:

• Your optional display name, personal profile, income, and commitments.
• Your money strategies, monthly plans, expense and income transactions.
• Recurring items, amounts, schedules, and related transaction history.
• Savings Goal names, targets, optional dates, and recorded progress.
• Preferences such as currency, language, appearance, and reminder settings.

Smart Guidance uses your FlowWise data and consistent local rules to surface planning observations. It does not send that information to a remote AI service.

Reminders and notifications

Reminders are optional local notifications. FlowWise requests your device’s notification permission when you choose to enable them. You can change reminder preferences in the app and manage permission in your device settings.

The device’s operating system schedules and presents notifications. Depending on your settings, notification text may contain item names or planning details and may be visible on a lock screen. Private notification previews are enabled by default and omit names and amounts. You can choose Full Details in the app. Timing and delivery depend on the operating system and device settings.

Accounts, tracking, and advertising

The current app has no FlowWise account system, no analytics, telemetry, or tracking SDK, and no advertising SDK. Personal financial records are not uploaded to a FlowWise backend. Local reminders do not require a remote push-notification service.

This website uses no analytics, tracking scripts, contact form, or application cookies. Once a public host is chosen, its handling of ordinary web requests, such as IP addresses and server logs, must be documented before launch. This local preview does not establish a public hosting policy.

Your control and data retention

Your records remain on your device while the app and its local data remain installed. You can edit information and use the deletion or management actions available for individual records. Some actions retain transaction history; for example, deleting a recurring rule stops future occurrences while preserving previously recorded transactions.

The current app does not offer cloud sync, export/import, or recovery from a backup. Its financial data is excluded from the app’s platform backup and transfer mechanisms. Uninstalling the app or clearing its local storage can permanently remove your data. Offloading or archiving an app may behave differently from uninstalling it. Device loss or damage can also mean data loss.

Keep an independent record of information you need to retain. No FlowWise server copy is available to restore your financial records.

Device security and its limits

FlowWise relies on the operating system’s app sandbox and device protections for local storage. The current app does not provide separate database encryption or an app lock. No device or storage method can guarantee absolute security.

Use a device passcode, keep your operating system current, and consider who can access your device and notification previews.

Platform services and future purchases

Apple and Google operate their own store, device, diagnostic, and payment services under their own terms and privacy policies. Those services may process information independently of FlowWise, including store account details, downloads, purchase history, or diagnostics you choose to share.

The current FlowWise product has no active purchase system. If a future Lifetime Unlock is introduced, the store may process payments and provide receipt or entitlement information needed to verify or restore a purchase. The final implementation and any related data handling will be described before it is offered.

Age considerations

FlowWise is a general personal financial planning tool and is not designed specifically for children. The final store age rating and any minimum-age requirements will be confirmed before public release. Where local rules require parental or guardian involvement, those rules apply. The app’s local storage design does not create a child account or transmit entered financial information to FlowWise.

Updates to this policy

The date above identifies the most recent update. Material changes to the product’s handling of information will be reflected in this policy and communicated as appropriate for the released product.

If you email support, you share your email address and any information you include with FlowWise support. These messages are handled through Gmail, separately from the app’s local financial storage, and email providers process them under their own privacy policies.
